DURHAM, N.C. -- Officials are working to clean up a hydrochloric acid spill in Durham.
It happened just before noon Thursday at a railroad crossing in the 2000 block of Pettigrew Street.
Officials say the chemical leaked from a train. That area of Pettigrew Street is closed while the cleanup continues.
Drivers are urged to avoid that area.
