Student's mother considers lawsuit
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The mother of a 12-year-old Quail Hollow Middle School student is considering suing the school district.
Police reports show the mother, Rozalin Collins, stated a teacher assaulted her son Tuesday in the school bus parking lot. She took her son to the hospital and test results revealed the student's left elbow was fractured.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg school officials say the male teacher has been suspended with pay pending an investigation.
The school’s principal met with the boy's mother Wednesday morning. Collins would not comment on the matter, but said she hired an attorney and is looking into suing the district.
