CHARLOTTE -- Incoming Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison made another visit to the Queen City Friday. Morrison is in town for a series of small group meetings with staff and potential employee interviews.

Friday morning Morrison arrived at Billingsville Elementary School to meet with strategic staffing principals. It's all part of his effort to restore public trust and boost employee morale.

"I think overall there's just been a feeling that there's been a lack of involvement in decision-making and I think that's something that's easily addressed," said Morrison. "You just have to be proactive about it and that's what I intend to do."

He also addressed employee pay raises and said it's a high priority despite potential budget shortfalls.
