CHARLOTTE -- Some parents were angry Wednesday night about being turned away from their children's middle school graduation. The ceremony for Ranson Middle School was held at West Charlotte High School.

Some parents said they had tickets but were told at the door that the auditorium had reached capacity before they arrived.

"I did not get to see my child walk across the stage," said parent Najma Smith. "He had nobody there to support him. I didn't get to take any pictures. no memories of this special moment."

The principal of Ranson Middle School said she didn't have time to comment.
