CHARLOTTE – Police say a prank evacuated Vance High School on Thursday.

Officers say a student set off firecrackers both inside and outside the school, which caused a lot of smoke and students were evacuated.

A few students complained of minor injuries, but no one was seriously hurt. No one has been taken into custody.
