CHARLOTTE -- Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, are expected to address the nation Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention, leading up to President Barack Obama's official acceptance of the party's nomination.
The final night of the convention was originally set for Bank of America Stadium but the threat of severe weather forced the move indoors, so the convention will close out at Time Warner Cable Arena.
Biden was in the arena for a walkthrough Wednesday. In his address, the vice president will tell delegates and America why he believes Obama is the right man for the job and will talk about some of the tough decisions the president has made during his first four years in office.
Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was injured in a mass shooting in 2011, will say the Pledge of Allegiance to open the final night of the DNC.
