FORT HOOD, TEXAS — A pre-trial hearing is being held Friday for Maj. Nidal Hasan.
Hasan is accused of shooting and killing more than a dozen people at Fort Hood in 2009. Carolina Beach native Kim Munley is credited with helping stop the attack. Friday's hearing is expected to concentrate on what type of questions to put on a questionnaire to send to potential panel members.
The members are the civilian court equivalent of jury members and came from Fort Hood and other military installations. Since the death penalty is a possibility, 12 people are required and no more than 20 will be seated.
