GARNER, N.C. -- Firefighters rescued a worker at a concrete plant early Friday morning.

An employee at the S.T. Wooten Corporation on East Garner Road was working on a platform 25 feet up in the air when he was hit on the head by something. Firefighters used a ladder truck to bring him to safety.

The worker was taken to WakeMed and is expected to be OK. His name was not released.

The accident is under investigation.
