RALEIGH – One organization hopes to help many newly unemployed around the state get back to work.
The Triangle United Way is hosting a series of education and networking seminars for job seekers.
Topics include money management, marketing job skills, employment research and using online tools like Linked-In and Facebook.
Organizers said they believe the sessions will help get people back to work faster.
“A lot of people who are now unemployed have never been unemployed before,” Triangle United Way CEO Craig Chancellor said. “They have no idea where to go for services, so this is a way to get them grounded and point them in the right direction.”
The seminars take place each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Triangle United Way office in Morrisville.
Sessions are free to Wake, Durham and Orange county residents.
