HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. – Frustrations over the latest round of school reassignments in Wake County prompted a meeting on Thursday night.
Parents in Holly Springs came together to discuss their concerns with the Wake County Public School System. Topics included both reassignment and board of education elections.
Organizers hope to define goals for parent groups so that positive changes can be made.
"As I said, this is a group of groups, we all have different concerns and different issues but our one main goal is we want to bring parents back into the school system and have the board work with us,” said organizer, Allison Backhouse.
The meeting brought together several parent groups – including WakeCARES, Wake Alliance and the Children’s PAC.
