CARY, N.C. -- The holy month of Ramadan comes to a close Saturday.
Muslims in Cary celebrated with a special event. The Eid celebration commemorates the end of the holy month of fasting.
Muslims believe the Quran was revealed during Ramadan.
"In Ramadan you're fasting every day for a month from sunrise to sunset. And this time is one of the major, one of the two major, celebrations in the Islamic religion," Mohamed Elayouty said.
The Islamic Association of Cary hosted the event.
