CHAPEL HILL -- Police have released new surveillance photos of a person of interest in the Eve Carson homicide case. Investigators say the man is only a person of interest -- not a suspect -- and they need help identifying him.

The latest pictures show the man inside an area convenience store, where he tried to use Carson's ATM card. Investigators haven't identified the store from which the photo was obtained.

Police believe it is the same man that was seen in another surveillance picture apparently trying to use the card at an ATM and possibly driving her SUV. They are still trying to determine if there was another person in the vehicle.

Carson was found fatally shot Wednesday on a street about a mile from the University of North Carolina campus, where the 22-year-old was student body president. Investigators said Monday that they found Carson's cell phone on the day she was killed, but offered no further details about where or how it was found.

Carson was laid to rest over the weekend in her hometown of Athens, Ga.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call police immediately. The UNC-Chapel Hill board of trustees has pledged $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of a person or persons responsible for Carson's death.
