GOLDSBORO, N.C. -- The mother of Dwayne Dail's son will get little if any of the money the state owes him for being falsely imprisoned, according to the News and Observer.

Dail spent 18 years behind bars for a rape he didn't commit.

His ex-girlfriend, Lorraine Michaels, sued him for back child support, saying she wanted some of the $360,000 the state is due to give Dail for his troubles.

On Thursday, a judge ruled Michaels can only collect for the last three years and she must prove her expenses to collect anything.
