GREENSBORO – Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon on Battleground Avenue that started elsewhere as a kidnapping and robbery.

They say Jerry Joyce and Jeffery Anderson were robbed on Douglas Street then ordered to drive home and get more money.

The victims said they told the suspect they needed to go to Herbie's Place to pick up keys. But when they got there, Joyce went inside and called out for help while anderson tried to run.

Anderson was shot but suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now looking for the suspect in a stolen gold Lexus that was last seen heading north on Battleground. The suspect is described as a small-built man with a thin mustache and short hair.
