GREENSBORO -- Longtime North Carolina radio personality A.C. Stone died early Saturday morning.
Stone worked at WQMG FM and its AM sister station WEAL for many years. He was born in Winston-Salem, and began his career in Durham in the 70s. Stone eventually moved back to the Triad, then back to Durham and Charlotte before returning to WQMG two years ago.
According to WQMG's website, Stone had been sick, but did not indicate his illness or age.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
