HIGH POINT – High Point Regional Hospital opened their doors on Thursday and unveiled some of the latest additions and improvements to their facilities.

Hospital officials took time out to demonstrate how the new additions will become an invaluable part of health care in High Point. New monitoring equipment with monitors and high-definition cameras will be installed and implemented in all 20 rooms of the intensive care unit.

The cameras will allow the nursing staff at the ICU to closely monitor more patients at once and can improve patient safety.

In addition, the cameras and monitors can also be used to teleconference with doctors and hospitals anywhere in the world.
