Caswell County records first meth lab bust with arrest

CHERRY GROVE, N.C. – Sheriff’s investigators in Caswell County say they’ve busted their first meth lab in the county.
Officials say 52-year-old Stanley Chastain of Cherry Grove operated a marijuana growing operation out of a shed near his home. During the course of their investigation, sheriff’s deputies also found what they thought was a meth lab.
SBI officials were called in and confirmed that Chastain was manufacturing drugs out of his home. The suspect is facing felony charges and is being held on $50,000 bond.
