WILMINGTON--A group of Fort Bragg soldiers paddled their way down the Cape Fear River on Sunday.

Members of the 319th MI Battalion Kayak and Canoe Club set out from Fayetteville on Friday in order to raise awareness about a memorial project for their fallen comrades.

The men paddled 10 to 12 hours every day of the three day journey, but they say the trip has been worth the ride.

"It's great to challenge yourself and you know for us it's just been an amazing experience, but it's been a great challenge and there is so much satisfaction that comes out of pushing your own personal limits," said LTC Dylan Carlson.
