CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County animal control has raised shelter fees for animals reclaimed by their owners.

The fee has increased from $7 per day of impoundment to $30 for the first day and $10 per day after that. The fees went up to help animal control make up for the increased cost in maintaining the shelter and providing vaccines and medications during the first day of impoundment.
