FAYETTEVILLE -- Testimony continued Thursday in the state's first ever Racial Justice Act Hearing in Fayetteville.
The hearing will determine whether racial bias played a role in Marcus Robinson receiving the death penalty.
Robinson has been on death row since 1994 after being convicted of killing 17-year-old Erik Tornblom.
On Thursday more expert witnesses testified about research done that suggested race influenced jury selection in some prior cases in North Carolina.
"That opinion is that race was indeed a significant predictor of both prosecutions and defense strikes in those cases," said social psychology expert Dr. Sam Sommers.
The defense is expected to call its last set of witnesses on Friday.
