RALEIGH -- Most road construction projects across the state will be suspended this July 4. Officials say they hope to make traveling easier for holiday drivers. However, three projects on the coast will continue.

They include construction on US-17 Business in Jacksonville, US-158 and the Pasquotank River Bridge in Elizabeth City.
