CAMP LEJEUNE -- Camp Lejeune officials confirm the base has its first case of bed bugs. The bugs were found in a barracks room and all the Marines in that barracks were moved to another building.

Right now bed bugs have only been found in that one building and officials say they're taking the appropriate steps to keep it from spreading to other facilities on base.

Bed bugs were nearly eradicated after World War II due to the use of the chemical DDT, but they've made a comeback in the U.S. since DDT was banned.
