WILMINGTON -- The Cue Center for Missing Persons heads out on their annual road tour aimed at raising awareness for missing persons, unsolved homicide cases and cold cases.
The group is headed to several states, but will make several stops in North Carolina on Thursday. This year, the tour features 109 cases.
Cue Center Founder Monica Caison says the tour helps renew interest in the victims' cases and often brings in tips that could help solve them.
"We'll be on the road for 10 days traveling through 11 states, making close to 30 stops, so we're pretty excited about this year," she said. "We're hoping that somebody will get a break in their case due to the tour. Every year we've been successful in that."
The sister of homicide victim Allison Jackson Foy is accompanying the Cue Center on the tour. In 2008, Jackson Foy's body was found alongside another woman's in a wooded area in Wilmington.
This is the Cue Center's seventh "On the Road to Remember Tour." North Carolina rally stops include Carrboro, Lexington and Gastonia. The tour ends with a rally in Wilmington on Aug. 28 at Best Rentals on South Kerr. The group will gather from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
