JACKSONVILLE, N.C. -- Onslow County authorities say they broke up an interstate car theft ring involving three Camp Lejeune Marines.
Aaron Lee, 19, Deangelo Gearing, 20, and Joshua Mathis, 21, face a total of 45 burglary and theft-related charges. Sheriff's deputies say a K-9 tracked the men for more than two miles Thursday after a car break-in.
The men are accused of stealing cars, guns and computers. Seven of the stolen cars have been recovered, including a car from Jacksonville that was found in Arkansas.
More arrests are expected in this case.
