CHARLOTTE – Charlotte-Mecklenburg senior centers are helping senior citizens in Mecklenburg County cool off as temperatures rise by providing free fans.

Fans are available for pick-up at North Mecklenburg Senior Center, Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center, Shamrock Senior Center, Tyvola Senior Center and Arbor Glen Rec Center.

Participants must be older than 59 or on disability. A driver's license or state I.D. is needed. Those on disability must provide proof of disability income and their Mecklenburg County address.
