CHARLOTTE – The Arts and Science Council is extending its 2010 annual fund drive. The campaign launched on Jan. 26 with a goal of raising $7.3 million by March 15.
It's still $1 million short.
The ASC funds cultural programs, such as Discovery Place, the Levine Museum of the New South and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts and Culture Campus.
Last year, because of the recession, the ASC cut its workforce by 37 percent and investments in the community by 27 percent.
