LAKE NORMAN -- After sitting on the market for nearly a year, owners of a multi-million dollar property on Lake Norman are ready to sell it to the highest bidder in what is becoming a trend around the country.

The absolute auction by Charlotte-based Grand Estates will put the 18610 Bluff Point Road up on Tuesday with no minimum bid and no reserve bid, according to Stacy Kirk, president of Grand Estates. It’s one of more than 100 properties on the lake currently waiting to be sold.

The winning bidder on the home, which was once valued at $2.7 million, will have to close within 30 days. The auction is only open to qualified bidders.
