SALISBURY--A convenience store owner was sentenced to 18 months of unsupervised probation Thursday.
In June, 58-year-old Hecham Abualeinanwas was charged with two counts of selling alcohol to a person under 21.
That person was 16-year-old Jonah King, who died later that same night in a skateboarding accident.
Rowan County Sheriff's Deputies said King can be seen on surveillance video buying two 18-packs of beer.
They say Abualeinanwas did not ask for a form of identification.
