WILMINGTON — Foreclosure rates are on the rise in the Port City.

Officials say rates increased to 2.72 percent, that is compared to 2.55 percent last year. However, the foreclosure rate in Wilmington was still lower than the national rate which was more than 3 percent.

Officials say the mortgage delinquency rate is also on the rise.
