Monroe police search for suspects after man was shot in head

MONROE, N.C. -- Monroe police are searching for two men suspected of shooting another man in the back of the head. It happened just before 7 p.m. Friday on the 900 block of Guild Street in Monroe.
When officers arrived on the scene they found the victim, Richard Sutton, lying next to a house. He was treated and released from the hospital.
Desmond Parham, 25, turned himself in to authorities Saturday. He's charged with attempted first-degree murder and is in jail under a $100,000 bond.
Detectives are still looking for two other men, 21-year-old Lamont Parham and 26-year-old Derrious Barrett. If you have any information on their whereabouts you're asked to call Union County Crime Stoppers at (704) 283-5600.
