CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte saw its largest first quarter growth of employment in 10 years during this year.

Two hundred and six firms announced a little more than 3,800 jobs from January to March.

Investment funding in the city increased by more than $100 million compared to last year's first quarter.

While Charlotte is known for its banking headquarters, the most growth in employment and investments was in the manufacturing industry.
