CHARLOTTE – GMAC is cutting 115 jobs in Charlotte in its auto servicing and mortgage businesses.

The Semperian Auto Loan Servicing Office in Charlotte will be closed, eliminating 71 jobs. The ResCap Office will also close, eliminating another 44 jobs.

A spokesperson said the cuts are part of an effort by both branches to streamline costs. Corporate positions in Uptown are not impacted.
