RALEIGH -- Wake Forest head basketball coach Skip Prosser stopped by the News 14 Carolina studios.

The 2003 ACC Coach of the Year took over the program from Dave Odom in April 2001. Since then, he has guided the Deacons to their first outright ACC Regular Season title in 40 years and four NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 berth in 2004.

In a candid interview, Prosser talks to News 14 Carolina’s Jim Connors on Sports Night and talks about the how last year was a tough year for the team. It had plenty of ups and downs, and Prosser says he’s never quite experienced a season like last year.

“I don’t think I’ve ever had a team like that, and I think that’s a tough year, but we’re looking forward to getting back with some young guys and some athletic guys and getting Wake Forest in contention for the championship were we were the years prior,” Prosser said.

Prosser also talks about this year’s team. He took the young squad to the Bahamas and says that experience really helped the young guys to grow, and it gives the coaches more tape to look at to see what they need to work on.
