DURHAM -- A teenage boy hit by an SUV in Durham on Wednesday is listed in critical condition.

Derek Scott, 14, was hit when he was riding his bike on Little River Drive and Buckhorn Road.

The highway patrol says say Scott did not stop at a stop sign while coming down a hill and crashed into the side of a vehicle driven by Michael Parker, of Hurdle Mills.

The teen underwent surgery for multiple injuries at Duke Hospital.
