MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. – Parts of Mecklenburg County could see flooding as rain and some ice moves in Friday night and early Saturday morning. Duke Energy reports water levels at several lakes are near capacity.

For weeks, officials have been monitoring levels and moving water out of the Catawba River Basin to prevent overflow.
