WILMINGTON – A Brunswick County jail inmate has been diagnosed with tuberculosis.

The county health director says the inmate has been transferred to another facility that’s better equipped to handle his case.

Hundreds of inmates and workers have been tested, and results are expected Friday. The inmate’s cellmate has also tested positive.
