CHARLOTTE -- The reward being offered in the case of a slain UNC Charlotte student is growing.

The governor's office approved a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the death of Irina Yarmolenko. That will be added to the $10,000 reward being offered by the university.

Yarmolenko was found dead last month beside her car near the Catawba River in Mount Holly. An autopsy showed she was suffocated.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Holly Police Department at (704) 827-4343.
