Perhaps a lion might catch your eye, or maybe a giraffe? Is a polar bear more up your alley? How about an elephant?

Right now, you can adopt one of these animals or about a dozen others from the North Carolina Zoo. While you don’t get to take them home, your gift will go a long way toward helping care for your animal.

"The funds will go to the animal enrichment program that purchases tasty treats and toys and some zoo keeper training to better the lives of the animals here at the zoo,” said one zoo official.
