FAYETTEVILLE -- It’s that time of year when just about everyone is shopping for that perfect present.

For Fayetteville shoppers, there’s now another way to find those holiday gifts: the freecycle swap meet.

It’s an event that allows people to drop off items they no longer need, and pick up items they do need, for free.

Each person who comes to the event is asked to bring something they’d like to give away. Freecycle swap meets take place all over the world, with the goal being to prevent landfills from overflowing.

Nearly 4,000 people in the Fayetteville area are involved in freecycle. For more information, click HERE.
