RDU art exhibit celebrates American Indian Heritage Month
MORRISVILLE, N.C. – Raleigh-Durham International Airport is kicking off American Indian Heritage Month with a special treat for travelers.
Passengers in Terminal A will get to see authentic tribal culture through an art exhibit over the next three months.
Art on display portrays a variety of aspects of North Carolina's rich American Indian heritage.

"It's amazing that I've lived to see total separation, to integration, to now seeing things kind of level off, it's really a major opportunity see have lived through that span of time, things are much, much better,” said Lumbee artist Gloria Tara Lowery.
Cherokee, Lumbee, Catawba, Coushatta, Choctaw and Houma tribes are all represented in the exhibit.
