UNC Chancellor James Moeser
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The search committee looking for UNC's next chancellor wants to know what people in Chapel Hill think.

It's holding two forums in the next week to get input. The first one is Friday.

The committee has to find a successor for James Moeser, who’s stepping down in June.

Friday's forum is designated for alumni, local elected officials and people from Chapel Hill. It will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Dogwood Room at the William and Ida Friday Continuing Education Center.

The other forum is next Tuesday, October 30 and will target faculty, staff and students. It will take place in the Chancellor's Ballroom at the Carolina Inn from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

People who cannot attend the forums may send opinions or nominate candidates by sending an email to chancellor_search@unc.edu or writing to Chancellor’s Search Committee, P.O. Box 229, Chapel Hill, NC 27515-0229.
