Wilson teen remembered days after death

(WILSON) -- A 17-year-old Wilson honor roll student who died this week was remembered as a joyful teen ready to go off to college.

Brittany Tyler Willis will be remembered at her funeral and burial on Friday.

Her body was found in a field in Wilson after police found her abandoned Lexus sport-utility vehicle on Tuesday.

Authorities have classified her death as suspicious until an autopsy is completed.

Willis graduated in May from Hunt High School, where she was an honor roll student and also played on the varsity soccer and volleyball teams. She planned to attend Peace College in the fall.
