CHARLOTTE – The Democratic National Convention Committee named its official team of housing services providers Monday for the thousands of people needing to arrange short-term housing during the convention.

Event Sphere, Akintayo Management Group and Charlotte-based It's My Affair will handle the duties.

The team is responsible for housing approximately 6,000 convention delegates plus campaign staff, certain elected officials, security personnel and members of the media.

The DNC begins Sept. 3, 2012.
