Onion Sauce topping for hot dogs

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 tbsp Oil
• 4 cups Thinly Sliced Onions
• 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
• 2 ea Bay Leaves
• ½ tsp Dried thyme leaves
• 1 tbsp Flour
• 1 cup Tomato Sauce
• 1 cup Water
• 3 tbsp Sugar
• 1 tbsp Cider Vinegar
• 1 tsp Tabasco
• 1 pinch Ground Clove
• 1 tsp salt
PROCEDURE:
1. In a large sauté pan heat oil and lightly cook, swet, the onions.
2. Add in the garlic, herbs and flour.
3. Add in remaining ingredients.
4. Bring to a simmer covered for 20 minutes over low heat until the onions are tender.
5. Then remove the lid and continue to cook the onions until thickened.
6. Remove the bay leaves and serve over hot dogs or burgers.
