Serves: As many as you like

INGREDIENTS:

• Fresh strawberries, trimmed and sliced
• Sugar
• Cinnamon
• Chocolate Hazelnut Nutella
• French bread, sliced for toast
• Whipped cream (optional)

PROCEDURE:

This dessert comes together in no time but you will need to take a minute to trim and slice as many strawberries as you want.

Next, for the cinnamon sugar, combine 2-3 parts sugar with about 1 part ground cinnamon and then sprinkle some of that over the sliced strawberries and toss to coat.

Slice the french style bread kind of thick so that the outside toasts a nice golden brown but the inside is still a little bit soft and then, when you're ready to eat, go ahead and toast them up in the toaster.

Then spread the chocolate hazelnut Nutella on the toast while the toast is still nice and warm, place a couple of those on a plate, top with some of the sliced strawberries and some canned or hand whipped cream and it is good to go!

HINTS:

There are no set amounts for something like this…just use your judgment. You can find Nutella in the peanut butter section of larger supermarkets.

About Chef Dan Eaton: Chef Dan Eaton spent his early years on a dairy farm in Vermont where he developed a fondness for foods "straight from the land." Cooking seasonally was more of a necessity then but Dan still finds local ingredients, in season, a driving force behind his menu creations. Click here to read the full biography.
