CHARLOTTE – Fifty Boys and Girls Club members spent Tuesday afternoon trying to create an invention that would be considered the next big thing.
The event was part of Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds “Wouldn't it be Cool if" initiative. The program challenges children ages 10 to 15 to use math and science to achieve their goals.
"Today is all about just inspiring the youth to create and to be creative and to not be ashamed of a creative mind," said Tunza Wallace, of Time Warner Cable
The three-hour program was led by TWC employees who are members of the company's Black Business Employee Network.
Time Warner Cable is the parent organization of News 14 Carolina.
