RALEIGH – RTI International has three hundred jobs to fill and they're hoping to do so by next month. All day they're hosting an event at the Hilton North Raleigh on Wake Forest Road.

It was an early start to the day for Frances Witters.

“I'm trying to get a job really badly. I've been here since 6:30 and I'm really excited,” said Frances Witters.

Excited to be one of the first people in line for the chance to land a job at RTI International in Raleigh.

“I'm dedicated, I'm not afraid to work hard or anything,” added Witters.

At just 18 years old, Frances knows she's the right fit for one of their call center positions.

“I've very friendly. People say I have a phone voice,” Witters said.

The research company needs three hundred people for it's North Raleigh Call Center. They'll be conducting phone interviews and gathering data from survey participants.

Deborah Smith was another early riser at RTI's open house.

“I've been looking for different jobs. I'm just trying to find work,” said Smith.

A story that's similar to so many, recruiters say the best way to stand out is to show personality.

“Positive attitude, eagerness, a smile on your face. That's very helpful in times like we have right now,” said Jillian Dobson from Greene Resources.

However, despite the tough economic times, these job seekers know determination is key.

“It would mean everything to me. Having your own money in your pocket is the greatest feeling in the world,” said Witters.

The open house runs until 7 tonight at the Hilton North Raleigh on Wake Forest Road. All applicants must bring a resume for an interview.
