RALEIGH – The Spark and Hustle Conference, which begins Tuesday, is a way for women to build their businesses and boost their bottom line.

The conference is being described as one jam-packed, high-energy event that's enabling women to experience big breakthroughs in both business and themselves. It's drawing women from across the state for two big reasons – content and connections.

At the conference, businesswomen will be sharing their stories of how they started their business. Many started their companies after facing the challenges that came with the struggling economy in recent years.

They all share similar stories of taking control of the careers and finances by tapping into their true talents and starting businesses that reflect what they are passionate about.

"It's a one-day program that gives women a ton of tools, lots of things they can apply immediately to their small businesses,” said CEO Tory Johnson. “This isn't about saying 'hey girls, go get an MBA' or having someone write you a big check to get you going. It's really about using what you have to get what you want,"

Spark and Hustle will be held at the Marriott City Center in downtown Raleigh.

Time Warner Cable, the parent company of News 14 Carolina, is a sponsor of the event.
