SouthPark residents concerned over plans for new hotel

Residents concerned about a proposed hotel near SouthPark Mall will have a chance to voice those concerns Monday at a public hearing on a rezoning petition by the Charlotte City Council. Residents say the proposal for a five-story hotel on a small wooded lot on Park South Drive, just south of Fairview Road, would have a negative impact on the area.

Sunday, the company announced the fourth FAA conforming HondaJet completed its first flight on May 4 at PTI Airport and said it is getting closer to certification.
