WILMINGTON--Port City residents have a new option for weekend entertainment.
TheatreNOW opened its doors less than a month ago on South 10th Street, but it is already receiving rave reviews.
The facility offers dinner theatre and comedy shows as well as a gospel jazz brunch on Sunday mornings.
Guests say the unique experience will be something every person can enjoy.
"It's so inviting and so well done...it's just perfect," said guest Tanya Suarez. "It's probably the best venue in town for this sort of thing."
Owner Alisa Harris has been working on the idea for the past few years and food and beverage manager Paul Obernesser said he is proud to have worked alongside her from the beginning of the project.
"I think it's a really nice way of combining community and entertainment and food in a way that people are really going to be impressed by,"Obernesser said. "The building is really beautiful and it's really nice place and we'd love everyone to be here."
